As an established medium-sized company, we plan, install and maintain modern infrastructure and systems in the fields of telecommunications, building services and energy technology. Our projects and service engineers operate throughout Germany – an efficient, well-organised vehicle fleet forms the backbone of this operation. To ensure our vehicle fleet is always ready for action and operated in a cost-effective and legally compliant manner, we are looking for you to join us as a Fleet Manager (m/f/d).
As a Fleet Manager (m/f/d), you will have overall responsibility for the planning, management and cost-effectiveness of our fleet. You will ensure that vehicles, deadlines and costs are monitored at all times, drive forward the digitalisation of fleet management, and act as the central point of contact for staff, senior management, public authorities, insurance companies and service providers.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Fleet Strategy: You will be responsible for the procurement, leasing, sale and decommissioning of our fleet, which consists mainly of cars and vans.
- Maintenance & Inspection Appointments: You will oversee maintenance, servicing, as well as MOT and health and safety inspections, and coordinate repairs with garages and service providers.
- Claims & Insurance Management: You will handle accidents and claims, including insurance claims processing, and manage fuel cards, toll systems and vehicle equipment.
- Controlling & Optimisation: You will carry out cost analyses and evaluations, plan vehicle utilisation and develop measures to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Digitalisation: You will implement or further develop digital fleet management systems and ensure that vehicle records are complete and deadlines are monitored.
- Legal & Compliance: You will ensure compliance with all legal requirements under the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO), Motor Vehicle Licensing Regulations (StVZO), accident prevention regulations (UVV) and health and safety at work regulations, whilst keeping track of regulatory changes.
- Sustainability: You’ll play an active role in the introduction of alternative propulsion technologies and sustainable mobility concepts.
- You have completed a commercial or technical apprenticeship, ideally with further training in logistics, fleet management or business administration.
- You have several years’ professional experience in fleet management or a similar role.
- You have a good technical understanding of commercial vehicles and passenger cars, as well as experience in leasing, insurance and contract management.
- You are confident using MS Office and fleet management software, and are familiar with the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO), the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO), accident prevention regulations (UVV) and health and safety at work.
- Class B driving licence; ideally, other categories of driving licence as well.
- You stand out thanks to your analytical and business-minded approach, negotiation skills, strong communication skills and a structured, solution-oriented way of working.
- Freedom to shape your role: A position of responsibility offering considerable freedom to shape your role and short decision-making processes.
- Modern facilities: State-of-the-art equipment and digital systems instead of a paper-based system.
- Fair remuneration & development: Performance-based pay and personalised training and development opportunities.
- Team & security: A motivated team, a pleasant working environment and job security within a growing company.
